Since this is the year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the catching of the fourteen and a half pound speckled trout by Dr. Cook we will be posting fishy stuff a lot.
The World Record that this trout set has never been equalled or surpassed in one hundred years.

July 17, 18, and 19th 2015, Nipigon will hold a brook trout festival which the Museum will participate in and continue on the 21st of July with museum celebrations on that special day.
July 21, 1915 - July 21, 2015.

Dr.  Cook's great niece will be there Friday night.
Dan Gapen  Sr.will be there that week end  and likely on that Tuesday.
Dennis Sinclair, wood carver, will be at the Museum, Tuesday for sure.
The actual rod and reel used by Dr. Cook will be on display.
Grandchildren of Andrew Lexie, chief guide will be at the Museum on Tuesday.
Other Relatives of other guides will also be invited.

Also that weekend The Red Rock First Nation will be having their Pow-Wow.
